Prof. Yamala Satyanarayana was Principal of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar College of Law, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam before he was appointed as the First Vice-Chancellor of A.P. University of Law, Visakhapatnam. Prof. Satyanarayana was Dean of Law Faculty of Andhra University, Member, Academic Senate and held many other coveted positions in Andhra University. He was awarded Ph.D. for his commendable work on ‘Centre-State Relations’. He was chosen by the Government of Nepal for assisting its Constituent Assembly in Drafting the Republican Constitution of that country along with former Chief Justice of India Justice J.S. Verma. He has to his credit innumerable publications in law in journals of national and international repute.
He was a fellow of the project on “Evolution and Evaluation of Federal Institutions under the Constitution of India (till 2005) under the able Leadership of Dr. Subhash. C. Kashyap. He was awarded Best Researcher by the Andhra University and was conferred the ‘Best Teacher Award – 2008’ by the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh, Hyderbad. |
